Unidentified capsules found in children's multivitamin bottle

It's better to err on the side of caution, so have a look at the contents of your supplements before downing them. Recently, a bottle of Flintstones Plus Iron manufactured by pharmaceutical giant Bayer Inc. was found to contain unknown capsules.

NutriSearch has long cautioned that safety standards for consumer health products are not always stringent enough. Protect yourself by ensuring the supplements you take are manufactured in facilities registered in a third-party testing program for pharmaceutical or nutraceutical Good Manufacturing Practices. These programs form an important part of our NutriSearch Medals of Achievement Program™.

Bayer has told Health Canada that its investigation showed the capsules were not a Bayer product and could not have been a manufacturing mistake. Get more information on the Health Canada website.
